The most recent website I’ve designed and co-founded is Space Coast Eats. Founded in October of 2021, Space Coast Eats posts restaurant reviews from the Space Coast, Orlando Area, and Walt Disney World in Florida. This website is a place for locals and tourists to find places to eat in the respective areas they’re living in or visiting. Other websites I’ve designed are Creative Maniac, Jessica Sydney Creations, and this ePortfolio.
The web design process for this website began with searching for the right theme that fit my aesthetic for my brand as well as functionality so the website is easy to navigate for viewers. Once a theme was chosen, I played around with the customization settings like the colors, widgets, layouts, etc.
The bulk of the web design process is done during the initial stages of the website. It will be continuous as I will change things from time to time.
For the branding and design, my co-founder and I wanted a colorful and bright logo. I thought it would be cool if the “A” in space was a rocket since the Space Coast is known for its rockets. The “A” in eats is formed by a fork, knife, and spoon. The site icon is a simple medium gray to balance out the colors in the main logo.
