CREATIVE MANIAC
Background
Founded in 2020, CreativeManiac.net is a website for entertainment, culture, lifestyle, and wellness lovers.
The website started as a place for me to share my writing, photography, Instagram editing, and food recipes with the world. In October of 2021, I decided to dedicate this website to just writing since I love it so much. During this time, my passion for entertainment writing spiraled out of control so this is why most of my content is based on entertainment.
Design
This website started it all for me. It’s what made me fall in love with website design. The initial design was black and white, clean, and minimal.
When I redesigned the website, I knew I wanted to add a splash of color to make it more inviting. This led me to a muted turquoise theme. Turquoise is my favorite color so I wanted to reflect that in the design. It’s very subtle which is what I wanted. I didn’t want it to be neon which can be too overpowering.
I customized the theme I chose by choosing a blog-like layout for the home page and a similar layout for the pages located in the navigation menu.
I tend to go for clean themes because I like the look of them.
The branding for Creative Maniac is simple but adds a small punch of color.
The logo and site icon use the muted turquoise color palette I chose for the brand. The site logo combines a sans serif and a script to add playfulness.
