My name is Jessica Welner. I am a creative individual with a passion for the written word and visual design.
When I was kid, I started writing stories. Not just short stories, but books that allowed me to escape reality and feed on my endless imagination. I loved that I was able to mentally picture the words that I was writing down with my mechanical pencil in my college-ruled notebook.
In college, I discovered my passions for entertainment writing, the publishing industry, and editing. I found that writing isn’t just creating stories, but it’s telling stories through a variety of genres.
Writing has this power to transport an audience to alternate universe whether it’s a book or a blog post. As a writer, I love that I have that power.
I discovered my passion for entertainment writing in college. I have gained experience writing about this topic by covering film, TV, and music through my website called Creative Maniac and my internship with Hollywood Insider.
My goal as a writer is to inform, entertain, and inspire my readers, no matter the kind of content I write. It’s important to me that my work makes an impact, whether it’s on 1 person, 10 people, or 1,000 people. If someone’s having a bad day, I love that I have the ability to lighten up their day with just the words I write. This is why I love writing because it’s transformative and beautiful.
